Reflection

Evanesce helps people transition from their work or school to home life and relieve stress through the embodied experience of throwing away your work or school. Designed for the future home. During this project, I developed several expertise areas. In CA I practiced visual storytelling and ideation through sketching and prototyping, while also exploring BE through branding and logo design. Our user research into the “feeling of home” contributed to my development in US, shaping our concept around the transition from work life to home life. Personally, I learned the value of structured planning and reflection, coordinating my group with weekly to-do lists and reminders, while also maintaining motivation and a positive team atmosphere. I gained experience in video editing, which broadened my creative toolset. Although I missed a chance to explore sound design in this project, I gained valuable experience in designing for an experience, something I can translate to future festival or event contexts.
